My name is Vishal Beersye, a diploma holder in Information Systems with specialization in Multimedia and web technologies.
During the past year that i’ve spent in the web design/development field, i’ve oriented myself more in the technical aspects of web design like the slicing and mounting of xhtml/css based templates. Right now, i’m also learning php/mysql in greater depths coz i’ve to become a full-fledged web developer.
My field of specialization is the conversion of psd to xhtml/css based pages and cross-browser compatibility. I work on the different css issues that may crop up when working on designs that should look the same accross different platforms. There are many designers and design companies who use automated generation of xhtml markup from PS or IM, and an amateur job.
Tips for designers:
Hand-code your pages and stylesheets, you’ll be helping yourself. Atleast you’ll know when and why a problem may crop up and will be able to solve it. I only hand-code my projects, take a look at my website, be it on FF, IE or opera, no bugs
